Year : 2023
Area : 230 SQM
Location : soi ruamruedee , Bangkok
Status : Complete
From an old townhome with a unique architecture and red brick material that catches the eye of passersby in the heart of the city at Soi Ruamruedee, it has been renovated into a cafe called “QOTTONTALE”, which means rabbit's tail. The design concept is told through the story of a rabbit. Taking into the continuity of the context that is a chaotic city center area with a variety of people and buildings, the concept of "the rabbit hole in the concrete jungle" was born. They compared this place to a rabbit's bunker from the bustling city center outside.
The space was designed to maintain the original structure of the old house as much as possible. Due to the dense structure The pillars are completely hidden from view, making townhomes in this area stand out from other buildings. The design is intended to make the storefront look solid and blend in with the surrounding area. By gradually reducing the use of colored concrete and brick from the outside to make the inside look warmer by choosing various materials and lines to make people who come in feel relaxed and calm.
